All the small things, get real. [Dont Change] « Thread Started on Aug 26, 2006, 3:47pm »
OOC// Bleh shortness XD Claws clicked against the concrete, as the petite golden retriever meandered up and down the connecting sidewalks. There really wasn't much to see, but Whisper didn't seem to mind. The vixen was looking in through the windows of stores, trying to figure out what was behind that hard glass. But a few of the shops seemed completely empty, which the retriever thought was rather odd. What's the point of having an empty room? Something should be put inside there, like food or something. Whisper thought hungrily.
She hadn't eaten in a while, so her mind was fixed on food now. Maybe there's something here for me to eat... Whisper gazed about, honey hued pools searching for something that looked edible. Right now lots of things looked edible, but that was her stomach thinking. Her golden pelt gleamed brightly in the sunlight, for today it was a sunny and clear day. The vixen was actually rather surprised, for she thought it might rain for once, but apparantly it wasn't going to happen anytime soon.
The thought of food still jammed into her brain, she sped up, blackened nose twitching madly as she strained to catch a scent that just called her name. The Retriever still could find nothing, and she saw that there were barely any humans around, from what she could gather she was alone. That was a rather creepy thought when you merely stood in a strip mall all alone, with no one else around. Anything could happen to you and no one would notice. Okay Whisper, stop thinking like that. She scolded herself, as she continued in her quest for food.

Golden eyes scanned back and forth watching the city in action. Truth be told she wasn’t an Upwalker person. In fact if you looked really far into the truth you would find that she simply hated the humans. Everywhere they went destruction seemed to follow. Nose wrinkled up just a the thought that she actually used to belong to a human. What a pitiful life really. Being told what to do and what not to do. Although there was one benefit of it. Free food all the time and right now she would just go for one of those hotdogs.
Nose twitched slightly picking up a scent. It was a scent that brought heaven’s bells ringing in her ears. Food. Pace quickened to a fast trot and she padded her way down the street. People past by her hardly giving the vixen a second look. Some people just looked at her for a few seconds then went back to reading the newspaper or talking on their cell phones. Alarice sniffed the air once more following the luring scent. Soon a trashcan came into view and she stopped. That was it? She had nosed around in one of these things before but it only brought paper and food that smelt so bad even she wouldn’t touch it. Another scent was drawn from her nostrils and it made her take a few steps forward. Oh well what was the harm in looking?
Walking rather quickly to avoid any humans that would yell at her and flash their sticks around she made a move for the trash can. Back paws lifted her bodice on the top of it and she stuck her nose in grabbing a piece of newspaper. Yuck. She dropped it outside of the can making sure that she didn’t get it again. Then she replaced her snout in the trash and got the jackpot a piece of a sausage. Half of it was eaten but there was still some left. “Hey you!” The voice of an angry two legged could be heard. The German Shepherd looked up at saw that he was jogging towards her shouting mean things that she couldn’t understand. She was caught.
Swiftly she slipped off of the trashcan and ran down the street. Her black and tan body weaved between legs. Soon the man was gone and she was walking alone on the street once more. Another vixen came into view and Alarice walked toward her eating her meat along the way. Soon all the food was gone and she looked at the unknown female with interest. It was an odd setting with no one around her but she was mighty used to it. Her tail was held rather high but not wanting to seem too unfriendly. She was alpha of a newly claimed pack as if that would explain for her dominant features. Although she had a friendly look in her eyes and looked at the vixen. She looked a little bit hungry and Alarice asked, “You hungry?” She had lived on the streets for a little over five years and maybe together they could snatch something good. A thought creeped into her mind that she just now thought of. She was usually very distant and a loner type but there was something about this dog that had caught her interest.

OOC// Yay for short posts =D
The vixen turned around when she heard the voice asking her if she was hungry. Of course the retriever was starved, and she wondered if she looked it too, for else would the fae have asked? There was an air of dominance to her, which intrigued Whisper greatly. She inhaled deeply, taking in the scent of this new dog, who was probably still waiting for an answer. "Yes... I am." Whisper answered, sniffing the air eagerly with a blackened nose. "I'm Whisper... what's yours?" Her tone was soft, and just barely above a whisper, which suited her name too. Whisper's fluffy whip swung behind her, as she observed the german shepherd. She seems like a nice enough dog... I wonder if she's an Alpha of some sort. The retriever thought, taking in Alarice's appearence.

Alarice walked a little closer to her noting that she really didn't seam like much of a threat. In fact maybe a friend or a future pack member. She felt her check bones move up to form a very small smile. Usually she wasn't the one to show emotions on her face but in this case the vixen really did seam like a good dog. Tail lowered just a little as she didn't want her to feel threatened. Orbs looked straight forward as she waited for an answer and soon it came. Whisper now was it? Well it certainly fit her with no questions asked. She had to wonder if something had happened in her puppy hood that made her shy or if she simply couldn't talk over a whisper. However that wasn't something you asked when you just met a dog so she kept her mouth closed to that question.
"I'm Alarice," As lyrics escaped her maw she wondered if she should put 'alpha' in them. It would be sorta of bragging a thing which she simply hated to do. Bragging was the low of the low but it was her little title thing. In a softer voice she added on "Alpha of Trucido Sarcina." Head turned to look at whisper before continuing on, "I'm hungry as well. Maybe we could raid somewhere." After saying that she looked forward again. They both were hungry so maybe they could get a pack load of food from a store or a stand. Two faes doing it would be faster than only one.

Whisper wasn't nessecarily a shy dog and yet she was. The only way she would talk to a stranger was if they spoke up first. And once they spoke to her she would try to keep the conversation going. Muscles around her lips twitched as they formed into a smile, for the retriever had noticed the smile that the vixen had just given her. When it came to her past she tended to avoid talking about it, by saying something simple like 'Maybe later...' or she would just simply ignore the question and change the topic completely. When the shepherd began to speak Whisper quieted her thoughts and waited.
Alarice... Pretty name. She thought, continuing to watch the vix. "Nice to meet you Alarice." Whisper answered, whip swaying to and fro behind her. When she added that she was an Alpha Whisper looked surprised. "Your an Alpha?" She repeated, brow raising in curiousity. Whisper had thought of joining a pack before, and maybe she would join this shepherd's pack, if she proved not to be an enemy of her that was. "Yeah a raid would be good. But exactly where would we raid the food from?" Whisper questioned, glancing about in search of some food store.

ooc/Gah I can't get muse!
Alarice watched as the vixen called Whisper gave a small smile. That was a good sign. She seemed like a nice another dog one whom you could trust and that was always a good thing. Head nodded as she heard the fae’s little welcome. At the first question she raised her eyebrows as well. Even though she was a new alpha she had always been the leader type. “Yes I am. There are two dog pack around here and wolf one.” Her voice got low and anger creep into it, “You would want to stay away from the wolves. Have no mercy on them for they won’t on you.” With that said she snorted and turned her head away. Wolves and dogs mortal enemies till the end of time. Maybe they could pull up and defeat them. However her pack wasn’t nearly big enough to lead an assault plus maybe they could be allies with the other dog pack in the area.
She took a few steps forward and looked back at Whisper at her question. Lips turned upwards at the golden retrievers agreement. Then she looked out to the front side strip mall. There was bond to be a food stand somewhere right? Lips opened and she said just that, “There are usually food stands around here.” After that was said she trotted forward while her eyes gazed to one place to a next trying to find the perfect spot. It had to be somewhere with an easy escape route and a not so clever looking Upwalker running it. Maybe with a crowd around it so they wouldn’t be noticed quite as much.
